  • Use the newest dated public Gakuran Trello card when two patch notes list different balance values.
  • Confirm reroll rates and style passives in the current Stats panel before spending rerolls.
  • Treat undated clips and community summaries as leads, not replacements for a dated patch note.

Tracked game updates

This timeline follows the latest public Gakuran patch notes and translates content, balance, map, phone, and private-server changes into player actions.

Update v7.400 adds Kure and expands the map

Version 7.400 is the largest recent content patch. It introduces the Kure fighting style, expands the playable map, adds more music, and gives the phone several roleplay and quality-of-life upgrades.

  • Kure is now a playable fighting style; its documented passives include Last Stand, Guard Pierce II, and Resilience I.
  • The map was expanded, so old route videos may no longer show every useful location.
  • Eight instrument songs and ten Phone Music songs were added.
  • The phone now includes a Weather app, Camera filters, and a reworked Japanify experience.
  • Players can gift rerolls through Stats.
  • Parry stun was reverted and slightly reworked, alongside bug and stability fixes. The Kure style guide explains the documented passives without inventing a rarity or reroll rate.

Update v7.203 upgrades private servers and adjusts Slugger

Version 7.203 gives private server owners more control and changes both parry recovery and Slugger's risk profile. It also expands school areas and makes voice chat work during phone calls.

  • Private servers gained /respawnall, Fly, WalkSpeed, ESP, searchable player lists, announcements, persistent roles, persistent green zones, and draggable role hierarchy.
  • Phone calls now support voice chat, and the emote wheel includes a Walk Variants section.
  • A parried player receives a one-second stun under this patch note.
  • Slugger's damage bonus changed from 25% to 30%, while extra damage taken fell from 25% to 10%.
  • New hallway areas and Green Zones were added.
  • Fixes covered duplicated hit effects, hold-M1 behavior, mobile HUD saving, title colors, office props, and eraser spam.

Update v7.148 adds bulk rerolls and restores classroom tools

Version 7.148 makes reroll decisions easier, restores chalkboard roleplay tools, and improves mobile access. It also changes several combat details that older style guides may still describe incorrectly.

  • Reroll rates are visible on hover, Bulk Rerolls are available, and redeemable codes are supported.
  • The infirmary heals at three times the normal rate, and a secondary Music Room was added.
  • Whiteboards, chalk, and erasers returned.
  • Slugger was listed at 25% bonus damage and 25% extra damage taken here; v7.203 later superseded those values.
  • The parry window increased, and players being jumped gained one invulnerability-frame dodge.
  • Mobile Stats and vending interfaces, Hakari hitboxes, clashes, grapples, seats, and bathroom doors received fixes.

  • Roleplay Servers attempt number two went live.
  • Many emotes and two instrument songs were added.
